Room to settle. Space to heal.
Mind-body therapy for eating disorders, trauma, and anxiety.
Telehealth for adults located in California.
Maybe some of this sounds familiar:
You want to understand why you feel, react, or relate the way you do, and how your past may still be affecting you.
You understand a lot about yourself already, but knowing why hasn’t necessarily changed how you feel or what happens in the moment.
Your mind or body goes into overdrive, shuts down, or gets overwhelmed, even when you know you’re safe.
Food, your body, control, or rules take up more space in your life than you want them to.
You feel heavy, numb, disconnected, or worn down by painful experiences, grief, or things you’ve been carrying for a long time.
Wherever you’re starting from, you belong here. There are reasons you feel and respond the way you do, even if those reasons aren’t clear yet. Together, we can understand how you got here while creating more room for things to feel different now.
What I specialize in:
Eating Disorders and Body Image Distress: Weight-inclusive support for healing your relationship with food and your body.
Trauma and Complex Trauma: Healing the ways trauma can shape your relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you.
Relational and Attachment Trauma: Understanding how painful or inconsistent relationships have shaped the way you connect with others, while working toward relationships that feel safer, more secure, and more authentic.
Anxiety: Helping you understand what keeps anxiety going and feel more able to face the things that matter to you.
I also support people with:
Depression
Identity Exploration
Stress and Burnout
Life transitions
Grief and Loss
Self Esteem
Neurodivergence
Meet Stacey, LCSW, SEP
Hi! I’m Stacey. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. I blend talk therapy with body-based approaches to help you understand yourself more deeply and feel safer and more at ease in your body, your relationships, and your life.
Together, we explore the “why” behind what brought you here, bring curiosity to the patterns that helped you get through, and create more space for you to discover what you need now. My style is warm, direct, and often playful. There’s room for the hard things here, but also for curiosity, humor, and joy.
Sometimes understanding why you feel or respond the way you do is only part of the work. I integrate talk therapy with body-based approaches to help us work with both what you understand and what you experience emotionally and physically.
Make sense of your story. We get curious about where certain ways of coping and responding came from, what shaped them, and what you need now.
Build safety in your body. We slow things down and work at a pace that feels manageable, without pushing you into overwhelm.
Expand your capacity. Over time, there can be more room to feel what you feel, stay connected to yourself, and respond to what’s happening now.
Understanding and feeling, together.
Ways we can work together:
Individual Therapy
Group Therapy
Community Integration
“What I am is good enough if I would only be it openly.” ~ Carl Rogers
You don’t have to carry it all alone.
Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out. We can start where you are and make space for what you need, together.
