Meet Stacey (she/her)

Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Stacey, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. I’ve spent my career working with people navigating trauma, eating disorders and body image concerns, anxiety, depression, attachment and relational challenges, and other complex mental health needs.

My clinical experience spans community behavioral health, residential and outpatient eating disorder treatment, addiction treatment, and private practice. I’ve also served in clinical leadership roles, including as a Lead Therapist and Assistant Clinical Director in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care.

My approach is integrative, drawing from somatic, relational, behavioral, and trauma-focused therapies. I don’t expect one kind of therapy to work for everyone. Rather than fitting you into a particular approach, I tailor our work to you and what feels most useful along the way.

I genuinely believe in the work I get to do with my clients and in each person’s capacity to heal, grow, and create meaningful change in their life. As a therapist, I’m warm, direct, curious, and often playful. I want therapy to be a place where we can make room for the difficult things without losing sight of the rest of you. There can be space for humor, connection, curiosity, and joy, too.

My practice is trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and HAES®-aligned. All bodies and identities are welcome here. I want therapy to be a space where you feel respected for who you are and free to be fully yourself.

What guides my work:

Mission
My mission is to offer therapy that honors the whole person and supports people in reconnecting with themselves, trusting their own experience, and creating lives that feel more connected, meaningful, and authentically their own.

Values

  • Safety, Autonomy & Collaboration. Meaningful work happens when we feel supported, respected, and able to move at a pace that feels manageable. You have a voice in what we explore and how we approach it, and your boundaries and choices are respected throughout our work. I bring my clinical training and perspective, while recognizing that you bring an expertise no one else can have: the experience of being you. Together, we shape therapy around what you need and what matters to you.

  • The body is an ally. Our body’s responses often make sense in the context of what we’ve experienced. Rather than fighting or judging them, we approach them with curiosity and learn to understand what your body may need.

  • Curiosity. I approach what you bring to therapy with curiosity rather than judgment. Before trying to change something, we need to understand it, including where it came from, what has shaped it, and what it might be telling us about what you need.

  • Belonging. All of who you are is welcome here. I strive to create a space where people of all races, cultures, religions, socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations, faiths, gender identities and expressions, body sizes, abilities, and neurotypes feel respected and affirmed. I value the identities and experiences you bring with you and approach them with openness, curiosity, and humility.

  • Integrity. I take seriously the trust and responsibility that come with being your therapist. I’m committed to practicing ethically, continuing to learn through ongoing training and consultation, recognizing the limits of my expertise, and showing up thoughtfully and responsibly in our work together.

Fun Facts About Me

Animals are a big part of my life. I spend some of my free time at a local wolf sanctuary, where I have the incredible privilege of working closely with wolves and wolfdogs rescued from the exotic pet trade. At home, I share my life with my two dogs, Athena and Gracie, and my fish, Alexandra Hamil-fin.

I love photography. It’s one of my favorite creative outlets and a way for me to slow down and notice the world around me.

My house is slowly becoming a jungle. I have a lot of houseplants, and somehow there always seems to be room for one more.

I have a playful side and am very easily amused, especially by myself. I appreciate a good sense of humor and am rarely above a terrible pun.
