Room to settle. Space to heal.

Mind-body therapy for eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. Telehealth for adults located in California.

Healing at the pace of your nervous system.

Maybe some of this sounds familiar:

  • You want to understand yourself more deeply: why certain patterns keep showing up and how your past continues to shape your present.

  • Maybe you already understand your patterns, but insight alone hasn’t changed how you feel or what you do.

  • Your body braces, races, or shuts down, even when you logically know you’re safe.

  • Food, your body, control, or rules have taken up more space in your life than you want them to.

  • You feel heavy, numb, disconnected, or far away from yourself and the things that once mattered to you.

  • Grief, painful experiences, or old wounds keep resurfacing, even when you’ve tried to move forward.

  • You’re tired of carrying so much, and exhausted from working so hard just to hold it all together.

Wherever you’re starting from, you belong here. There are reasons you feel and respond the way you do, even if those reasons aren’t clear yet. Together, we can understand how you got here while creating more room for things to feel different now.

What I specialize in:

Eating Disorders and Body Image Distress: Weight-inclusive support for healing your relationship with food and your body.

Trauma and Complex Trauma: Healing the ways trauma can shape your relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you.

Anxiety: Helping you understand what keeps anxiety going and feel more able to face the things that matter to you.

Depression: Reconnecting with yourself, others, and the parts of life that can feel far away when you're depressed.

Relational and Attachment Trauma: Understanding how painful or inconsistent relationships have shaped the way you connect with others, while working toward relationships that feel safer, more secure, and more authentic.

Grief and Loss: Making space for grief in all its forms, without timelines or pressure to “move on.”

I also support people with:

Identity Exploration

Stress and Burnout

Life transitions

Self Esteem

Neurodivergence

Insight can help us make sense of your story, including where certain ways of coping or responding came from, why they might make sense given what you’ve been through, and what you need now. But understanding something doesn’t always change how it feels or what happens in the moment. Because our experiences affect both mind and body, I integrate Somatic Experiencing® alongside talk therapy to help us work with what you understand intellectually and what you experience emotionally and physically.

Some sessions lean more toward talking and making sense of things. Others slow down and bring attention to what is happening in your body. Most weave the two together, guided by what you need.

  • Make sense of your story. We get curious about where certain ways of coping and responding came from, what shaped them, and what you need now.

  • Build safety in your body. We slow things down and work at a pace that feels manageable, without pushing you into overwhelm.

  • Expand your capacity. Over time, there can be more room to feel what you feel, stay connected to yourself, and respond to what’s happening now.

Understanding and feeling, together.

Meet Stacey, LCSW, SEP

Hi! I’m Stacey. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. I blend talk therapy with body-based approaches to help you understand yourself more deeply and feel safer and more at ease in your body, your relationships, and your life.

Together, we explore the “why” behind what brought you here, bring curiosity and compassion to the patterns that helped you get through, and create more space for you to discover what you need now. My style is warm, direct, and often playful. There’s room for the hard things here, but also for curiosity, humor, and joy.

Ways we can work together:

Group Therapy

Community Integration

“What I am is good enough if I would only be it openly.” ~ Carl Rogers

You don’t have to carry it all alone.

Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out. We can start where you are and make space for what you need, together.
